T-shirt Design Competition

T-shirt Design Competition

Art can be a therapeutic way to express complicated emotions and manage stress. This year we are putting art to work! We will be selecting 3 design options from artwork sent to us by patients, caregivers, and all those touched by cancer, and creating t-shirts whose sales will support those fighting cancer here in Wyoming. We can't wait to see what artwork comes our way.

Art can be submitted by email to wyfoundationcancercare@gmail.com or mail to 441 Landmark Drive Ste 330 Casper, Wy 82609 or right here on our website using this online form.

Thankful Thursday

The Wyoming Foundation for Cancer Care will benefit from the Thankful Thursdays fundraiser at the Beacon on April 25th. The Beacon, now smokeless, will hold the same awesome event with a new host this year. A great opportunity to help the Wyoming Foundation for Cancer Care and enjoy a fun evening with family, friends, or coworkers!

“The new year brings a new season of Casper’s original Thursday night Party With A Purpose – Thankful Thursday, at the smoke-free Beacon Club!  We’re back Thursday nights for the Spring 2019 season with our friends at Tito’s Vodka as we add to over $1.5 million you’ve helped raise for local charities – and as always, Thankful is the only event of its kind that gives 100% of the proceeds to local organizations doing local good.  Join us on Thursday nights starting January 17th – there’s a chance to win $500 in the bottle draw just for being in the room, and Tito’s will generously give the same amount to EACH of our charities to start them off.  Free Tito’s cocktail for everyone 21+, but all ages are welcome.

Live auctions, door prizes, 50/50 raffles and lots of fun & surprises along the way – the party starts at 5 each night, and the live auction gets underway around 6:30.”

Ghost Town Gumbo Cookoff

Ghost Town Gumbo Cookoff

Central Wyoming Fairgrounds (map)

This year the Wyoming Foundation for Cancer Care has partnered with the Ghost Town Gumbo Cookoff for their 6th annual cookoff!

On June 1st the Gumbo Competitors will wake up bright and early to start cooking their gumbo on site at the Fairgrounds. After judging at 11:30 the teams will hand out samples of their gumbo.

The gate will open at 11 to the public. Admission is $10 and the event also features a car/motorcycle show, live music, and family activities and games. We will have beer sales and vendor participation from food trucks and businesses around Casper. The proceeds from the Gumbo Cookoff will benefit cancer patients and their families by providing financial assistance with utilities bills, groceries, travel lodging and transportation costs that put extra pressure on a family struggling with the strain and cost of cancer treatments.
